A rising water table in central Liverpool.

Changes in groundwater abstraction patterns in the city centre and dockside area of Liverpool have caused a slow rise in the water table. The history and causes of this phenomenon are examined in the context of regional groundwater resources and changes in groundwater quality. Also a prediction of future development is presented.
